DevOps Engineer

Embed with customers, design the workflow, ship the system. You're the engineer at the front line — the one who turns a vague request into a system that earns its keep.

About the role

This role exists because the gap between "what the customer asked for" and "what they actually need" is wider than most teams admit. You close it. Half your time is in customer Slacks and Zooms; the other half is shipping the system the conversation needs.

What you'll do

  • Lead discovery with new customers — interview the people doing the work today, write the spec.
  • Build the first working prototype against real customer data in the first two weeks.
  • Make the architectural calls — what's an agent vs. a deterministic pipeline, what we self-host vs. buy.
  • Coordinate with the rest of the engineering team to harden the prototype into production.
  • Stay attached to the customer through the first weeks post-launch to make sure adoption sticks.

What we look for

  • 3+ years as a generalist software engineer — front, back, infra, all of it.
  • Track record of shipping things to customers fast, then iterating with them.
  • Comfort being the most senior engineer in a customer Zoom with no PM in the room.
  • Fluent English. Most customers are in the US or Western Europe.
  • Based in Kyiv or Tallinn (or willing to relocate for the office time).

Nice to have

  • Past life as a consultant, a founder, or both.
  • You've shipped at least one AI feature your customers actually use.
  • You write — blog posts, talks, internal docs. Doesn't matter where.
